The digital sector in Ireland is growing at a rate of 16% or ten times the overall economy growth rate.

Digital sector in Ireland almost as big as agriculture and financial services

The digital sector in Ireland is growing at a rate of 16% or ten times the overall economy growth rate.

Economic research commissioned as part of the National Digital Strategy shows that the industry now accounts for 4.4% of GDP and supports 95,000 jobs.

The Digital Hub Development agency said this means the digital industry in Ireland is almost as big as Agriculture and Financial services.
