Dentists to attend crisis meeting

Up to 400 dentists from across the country are expected to attend a crisis meeting in Dublin today called by the Irish Dental Association.

Top of the agenda will be the outlook for the sector in light of recent Government cuts to the PRSI dental scheme and the medical card scheme.

The IDA says recent developments suggest the Government will withdraw spending on dental care by as much as €120m by the end of 2010.
