Denis Naughten distributes 'Keep Safe' card in place of election postcards

An Independent TD in the West has decided use his election postcards in a completely different way.

Instead of promoting himself, Denis Naughten has decided to provide each home in his constituency with a card that will help to reduce crime, particularly against older people.

The card is being distributed this week to 57,000 homes in the constituency of Roscommon Galway.

Denis Naughten says he designed the 'Keep Safe' card to reduce incidents around bogus tradesmen preying on vulnerable people.
