Dublin City Council said its offer to stage two cancelled Garth Brooks concerts as matinees remains on the table.
The message comes despite the fact that the singer's representatives and the event promoters last night said it would not be feasible.
Under the plans, the three concerts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday would proceed, with additional shows on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

Speaking at a press conference in Nashville yesterday - before he rejected the matinee proposals - Brooks said the Irish people had nothing to be embarrassed about.
"You want the greatest experience of your life? Go to Ireland. They will eat you alive. It's a great place!" he said.
