David Drumm 'prepared to come home'
The former Anglo Irish Bank boss David Drumm is reported to have told the DPP he is prepared to come home to stand trial.
Mr Drumm's lawyers are looking for an assurance that the State will not oppose his application for bail if he returns.
The former CEO of the failed bank is currently being held on remand in the US pending an extradition hearing.
Reports in the Sunday Independent and Sunday Business Post suggest Mr Drumm has offered to comply with strict bail conditions that include wearing an electronic tag.
Mr Drumm has already been refused bail twice and remains in custody in Boston.
He faces 33 criminal charges relating to transactions carried out while he was in charge of Anglo Irish Bank.
The Dubliner is currently being held in a maximum security prison, and faces an extradition hearing in March.
