DART services restored as Gardaí deal with incident at Dublin hostel

A woman has been stabbed in Dublin city centre and Gardaí have dealt with a disturbance at Isaacs Hostel which lead to the closure of some DART services.

The stabbing happened in the Store Street area of the city’s north side.

Her injuries were not thought to be life threatening.

The attack is believed to be connected to a separate incident, which saw train services suspended between Connolly Station and Grand Canal Dock.

Gardaí were dealing with a disturbance involving a man on the roof of Isaacs Hostel.

The hostel on Frenchman’s Lane is to the back of Store Street and close to the train tracks.

Irish Rail confirmed the train closure was due to a Garda operation.

A spokeswoman said overhead power lines had also been de-energised in the area.

Gardaí in Store Street are investigating.
