Dáil votes to give final approval to Budget

The Dáil has voted to give its final approval to the Budget.

The Finance Bill passed all stages by 70 votes to 46 this lunchtime.

It means the tax changes proposed on Budget day two months ago can now become law.

All of the former Fine Gael party members voted in favour of the Budget, while all of the former Labour TDs voted against.
