Dáil debate on Ryan Report to get underway today
11/06/2009 - 07:24:22A special two-day Dáil debate on the fallout from the Ryan Report on institutional child abuse is due to get underway later today.
Yesterday, around 5,000 people marched to Leinster House to show solidarity with the victims of widespread physical, sexual and emotional abuse at religious-run state institutions.
The organisers handed petitions to representatives of the religious orders involved in the abuse demanding justice, accountability and restitution for the victims.
