Dáil approves €54bn Nama plan
12/11/2009 - 15:50:40The Dáil has given final approval for €54bn of taxpayers' money to sort out the banks, the Ceann Comhairle Seamus Kirk has announced.
NAMA has been given the go-ahead by TDs while senators will have to approve it one last time this evening.
It will then go to President to be signed into law, allowing for the National Asset Management Agency to be formally created.
