Cyclist dies after being hit by truck in Limerick

A man in his 40s has been killed in a Co Limerick crash this afternoon.

A man in his 40s has been killed in a Co Limerick crash this afternoon.

He was injured when his bicycle was hit by a truck on the Limerick bypass shortly before 2pm.

The man was taken to the Mid Western Regional Hospital in Dooradoyle where he died a short time later.

The road remains closed with diversions in place.
