16-year-old dies in Tipperary accident

A 16-year-old is dead following a traffic accident in Nenagh, Co Tipperary.

Gardaí are investigating the incident, which occurred on the N7 at Coole, Toomevara, shortly after 5am this morning.

The young man was killed when the car in which he was a rear-seat passenger collided with a jeep.

He was as rushed to Nenagh General Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Two other people in the car suffered minor injuries.
