Two men held after abduction of 50-year-old woman
07/12/2006 - 07:55:21Gardaí in Carlow are continuing to question two men this morning in connection with the abduction of a 50-year-old woman from her home on the Laois border yesterday morning.
Nelly Doran was snatched from her home in Graiguecullen early yesterday morning by a group of men armed with baseball bats and sledgehammer handles.
Gardaí believe the abduction was family related and that Ms Doran knew at least two of her kidnappers.
She was found last night at a premises in Tramore, Co Waterford, where she was being held against her will.
Two men - one aged 21 and the other in his 50s - were arrested during a joint operation by gardaí from Carlow and Waterford and were taken to Carlow garda station for questioning.
