Ireland to take part in trial of EU anti-flu measures


Ireland is reportedly due to take part in a trial of Europe-wide measures to combat a possible flu pandemic.

Reports this morning said the simulation exercise would take place across the 25 EU member states next month, as well as in Norway, Iceland, Liechenstein and Switzerland.

The trial will examine how national agencies in these countries co-operate and respond in the event of a pandemic.
