Government deports 50 asylum seekers
19/10/2005 - 08:13:49A plane carrying up to 50 Nigerian asylum-seekers has departed from Dublin Airport for Lagos.
The failed asylum-seekers were served with deportation orders from Michael McDowell’s Justice Department and taken from their accommodation by gardaí in the last few days.
Those taken from outside Dublin were held at garda stations prior to the overnight flight.
The group included a number of children.
