Brinks resumes cash delivery services for Bank of Ireland
The dispute between Bank of Ireland and Brinks Allied over liability for losses incurred during security van robberies appears to be nearing resolution.
Earlier this week, Brinks stopped carrying out services for the bank due to a row over the company's demand that the bank accept greater liability for losses due to theft.
Bank of Ireland subsequently took legal action seeking to force Brinks to resume services, but lawyers for the security firm told the High Court today that they had already resumed at 8am today.
They also informed the court that Brinks representatives were hoping to meet Bank of Ireland officials for further talks aimed at resolving the matter.
