Curran keeps RTÉ role

Noel Curran has been reappointed as RTÉ director-general for another four years.

Noel Curran has been reappointed as RTÉ director-general for another four years.

The Monaghan man first got the director-general post at the national broadcaster in 2010.

Communications Minister Pat Rabbitte said Mr. Curran had show great leadership.

The top job in RTÉ carries a salary of €250,000.
