CSO: Four counties above national average for incomes

Dublin is the richest county in Ireland with over €2,000 more disposable income per head than the national average, according to the Central Statistics Office.

The CSO figures show that the average person in Dublin has €21,329 in disposable income, 12% more than the national average of €19,055.

Cork, Kildare and Limerick were the only other counties which beat the national average for incomes, once tax and housing costs are excluded.

Donegal has the lowest figure at €15,897, followed by Monaghan (€16,216), Roscommon (€16,392) and Offaly (€16,792).
