CSO figures confirm Ireland met Troika target
It has been officially confirmed by the Central Statistics Office that Ireland met the Troika's deficit targets for last year.
Data published by the CSO this morning shows that Ireland's budget deficit last year was 8.2% of its GDP.
That is well within the target of 8.6% set by the Troika at the start of the bailout programme.
The figures are slightly worse than previous estimates published earlier this year, due to later revisions which said the economy had grown by slightly less than first thought.
