Croke Park residents considering injunction over summer concerts

Residents living close to Croke Park say they are considering an injunction to block a number of summer concerts at the venue.

Garth Brooks has sold out five nights at GAA HQ while One Direction will play three nights as well.

There’s also an American Football game and the possibility of a Heineken Cup semi-final.

Patrick Gates from the Clonliffe and Croke Park Area Residents’ Association said the locals are angry and are examining their options.

"There's the possibility off taking an injunction to have the concerts stopped, or asking for the licenses not to be approved, or – at least — for major restrictions to be put on the concerts.

"We don't want our community to be locked down for five days."
