Coveney: Significant resources deployed to investigate horse meat controversy


The Agriculture Minister said that significant resources are being deployed to investigate the horse meat controversy.

The Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation has been called in as part of the inquiry.

Burger production at Silvercrest and Rangeland in Co Monaghan has been suspended following the discovery of equine DNA.

Simon Coveney has said that the investigations show all implicated raw material ingredients are labelled as Polish products:
