Court to deal with 30 people charged in Dublin drug operation

The six-month, covert operation targeted the sale of heroin, cocaine and other drugs in the area.

Thirty suspected drug dealers were arrested on Tuesday in a series of anti drugs raids in Dublin's North Inner City.

More than 100 Gardaí were involved in the investigation which was driven by community policing.

Operation Tempest was launched after drug dealing was cited as the main concern for residents in the north inner city when community guards came knocking on their doors in January.

All those arrested are due to before Dublin District Court later today.

Gardaí say there are likely to be even more arrests in future, with at least 15 other suspects already on their radar.
