Court remands man in connection with fatal Cork assault

A 24-year-old man has been remanded in custody with consent to bail after being charged in connection with an assault on a 31-year-old who died following an assault in Cork at the weekend.

Tim Kelleher with an address at 28 Block A, South Terrace apts, Cork, was charged with assault causing serious harm to Mark Hanlon at Infirmary Road, Cork on May 6.

Mr Hanlon, a father of one, died later at Cork University Hospital.
