Councilors call for five concerts to go ahead

Dublin City Councilors have called for all five Garth Brooks concerts to go ahead.

An emergency motion put forward by Sinn Fein this evening was narrowly passed by just one vote.

However, city manager Owen Keegan insists the licensing decision cannot be overturned - and that he is powerless to act upon the motion.

Meanwhile legal proceedings have been initiated by one Croke Park resident, seeking an injunction against the holding of ANY Garth Brooks concerts at GAA headquarters.

Garth Brooks himself says for him, it's five gigs or none at all.
