A man has died following yesterday's road accident in Maynooth, Co Kildare.

A man has died following yesterday's road accident in Maynooth, Co Kildare.

It happened at around 3pm yesterday at Graighuesallagh.

The council worker was on point duty at a stop-go system when he was struck by a car.

The 59-year-old was rushed to Naas Hospital, but died of his injuries a short time later.

Gardaí are investigating.
