Work is set to resume on the regeneration of a Dublin estate after a dispute between the construction company Bam Building and Dublin City Council was resolved.

The council had issued a stay on the work at St. Michael's estate in Inchicore citing health and safety concerns.

But Bam has insisted standards were being met on-site of the social housing redevelopment project.

Last night Dublin City Council issued a statement withdrawing the stay notice with immediate effect and said it was satisfied Bam would ensure health and safety is managed appropriately at the site.
