[/comment]Residents in another Cork housing estate are protesting this morning against the installation of Irish Water meters.
The stance by about a dozen residents of Elmvale Estate off the Sarsfield Road brings to four the number of such protests in the area, while there are also protests going on in Dublin.
Local resident Sharon Deane said while about six meters have already been installed at the entrance to the estate, she and her neighbours plan to prevent the contractors from installing any more.
"We will do what it takes to stop this," she said.
Water meter blockades are continuing at nearby Ashbrook Heights in Togher, which began last Tuesday, and at neighbouring Fernwood and Palmbury.
All the protestors say they are prepared to stick with their blockades for as long as it takes.
