Cork customs officers raid head shop

Customs officers in Cork have seized a range of products believed to contain the banned drug BZP after a raid on a head shop in the city.

Customs officers searched the shop and its storage premises under warrant and seized a number of products which they believed contain benzyl -piperazine.

Last March, Minister for Health Mary Harney made possession or sale of BZP a criminal offence.

A file is to be prepared for the DPP.
