Cork Airport is to begin a new route to Cardiff in Wales.

The twice-weekly service, operated by Flybe, will begin in June. The flights will be on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Cork is Ireland’s second largest airport, serving 2.1 million passengers annually.

Meanwhile, new Aer Lingus flights have been announced between Dublin and the Doncaster / Sheffield Robin Hood airport in the UK.

The new route will operate five times weekly from the end of May. It will be run by Aer Lingus Regional, operated by Stobart Air.
