Cooke report delivered to Taoiseach's office

The report into alleged bugging at the offices of the Garda Ombudsman has been delivered to the Taoiseach's office, it has been confirmed.

It is understood Enda Kenny has yet to see the document, as he is on a trade mission to the west coast of the United States.

Retired High Court judge Mr Justice John Cooke was appointed in February to conduct an independent inquiry into the alleged bugging.

A government spokesman confirmed that the report would be discussed at Cabinet before being published.

The next Cabinet meeting is scheduled for Tuesday.
