Conviction for sale of 'clocked car'

Mr John Joseph Reilly was convicted on Friday 29 June 2007 at Longford District Court for selling a clocked car.

Mr John Joseph Reilly was convicted on Friday 29 June 2007 at Longford District Court for selling a clocked car.

Mr Reilly was convicted of selling a clocked 2002 BMW 316 and was fined €500 by Judge Anderson.’

The NCA says the decision to prosecute Mr Reilly was taken following an investigation of a complaint received from a consumer.

The NCA is now urging all car dealers to take all necessary steps to ensure that any cars which they purchase have not been clocked.
