Consultants resume work practices talks with HSE

Consultants and the HSE have resumed talks at the Labour Relations Commission within the last hour.
It is day three of negotiations over reforming work practices, and so far there has no sign of a breakthrough.
Health Minister James Reilly has put a deadline of tomorrow night on negotiations.
Sincee consultants' pay is protected under the Croke Park Agreement, the HSE wants greater flexibility over working arrangements, roster patterns and the creation of a new entry grade of doctors.
If they fail to reach agreement, the matter will be referred to the Labour Court for a binding resolution.
