Construction to halve space available for Smithfield horsefair
Gardaí are urging people to stay away from the Smithfield horsefair in Dublin over the summer.
More than half of the space normally available will be taken over because of construction work which is scheduled to continue for a number of months.
Earlier this year, two men were injured in a shooting incident at the fair, which prompted calls for the event to be cancelled altogether.
