Conclave to elect new Pope will convene in March

The Vatican has confirmed the Conclave of Cardinals to elect a successor to Pope Benedict will be held in mid-March.
Just a couple of days after announcing his retirement, the Pontiff received a minute-long standing ovation at his weekly general audience.
He has reiterated that his decision to resign was for the "good of the church".
