Community Games' future plunged into doubt

The Community Games movement has warned that the future of the games are in danger due to a lack of secure accommodation for the young people taking part.

The Community Games movement has warned that the future of the games are in danger due to a lack of secure accommodation for the young people taking part.

The finals of the annual games, are to be held as usual at the Mosney holiday camp in Meath next year, but with no guarantee beyond that, the games organisers say that the future of the finals are in doubt.

More than half a million people between the ages of six and sixteen taking part in the games each year and it is hoped that a new strategic plan which is to be launched this evening will highlight the urgent need for a permanent headquarters and accommodation.
