Cold snap sees Intel production disrupted

Production at Kildare-based computer giant Intel has been severely disrupted.

Extreme temperatures and water contamination meant that the FAB-10 plant had to be shut down for a time during the recent cold snap.

More than 4,000 people are directly and indirectly are employed at the plant based in Leixlip.
