Cleaning staff find woman's body in Cork shopping centre

Gardaí in Cork are investigating the discovery of a woman’s body in a city centre shop this morning.

The remains of the woman in her 60s were found by cleaning staff in Dunnes Stores on Patrick Street just before 8am.

Gardaí believe the woman collapsed in the toilets yesterday evening, and her body remained there overnight.

Officers are awaiting a post mortem examination which will determine the cause of her death but say there is nothing to suggest anything suspicious about the circumstances.
