Cityjet flight with 90 on board returns to Dublin due to windscreen issue

A Cityjet flight from Dublin to London was forced to return to Dublin Airport this morning shortly after taking off.

The company say that it was because of a technical issue with the windscreen of the plane.

Around 90 people were on board flight WX118 at the time, and they will be accommodated on other flights. The Boeing 737-800 took off at about 7.30am.

Cityjet apologised for the inconvenience to passengers, but said that safety is paramount in these matters.
