Chartered surveyors predict further property price rises this year

Residential property prices are likely to continue their upward trend this year, according to the Society of Chartered Surveyors of Ireland.

The group says the price of houses will stabilise somewhat in Dublin compared to the rest of the country.

Last year property values increased by around 8.8% nationwide.

The cost of renting is now outperforming property ownership across the country.
