Chambers Ireland has welcomed the passage of the National Asset Management Agency (NAMA) in the Dáil this afternoon.

They said it was the "next step towards Ireland’s economic recovery".

Ian Talbot, chief executive at Chambers Ireland said: "The passage of the NAMA Bill offers the opportunity to build on recent positive momentum – witnessed with the somewhat improved medium-term outlook for Government finances and lower than previously anticipated unemployment numbers.

"It will send a signal that Ireland is making progress in dealing with both the banking crisis and the recession."
