Central Bank to pay €8m for 'Anglo HQ' office block


The Central Bank has agreed to pay €8m for a half-built office block that was meant to be the new headquarters of the now defunct Anglo Irish Bank.

According to Bloomberg News, the bank has agreed to buy the building on Dublin's North Wall Quay from Nama.

Anglo intended to use the building as its HQ, before the bank's collapse helped push Ireland toward the international bailout agreed in 2010.
