Staff at the Central Bank and the Financial Regualtor are going on strike today.

Six hundred members of the Unite union are in dispute over pensions and changes to their terms and conditions of employment.

The union says Central Bank management have frustrated all attempts to resolve the row and today's action is designed to get them back to the talks table.

Unite Regional Officer Brian Gallagher said that, despite the intervention of the Labour Realtions Commission, there was no sign of an agreement being reached.
