Car hijacked at gunpoint in Co Louth
23/07/2008 - 12:52:41Gardaí in Co Louth are investigating an incident last night in which a car was hijacked at gunpoint by two masked men.
The incident happened in the car park at Faughart graveyard, north of Dundalk, just before 11.30pm.
Two masked men discharged a sawn-off shot gun and ordered a couple to get out of a Volkswagon Bora before driving the vehicle in the direction of the border.
A young man and woman who were in the car were not injured during the incident.
Gardaí say a white van, possibly a Ford Transit, was used by the hijackers.
