Cabinet to discuss Children's' Rights Referendum result today

The result of the Children's' Rights Referendum is set to be discussed when the Cabinet meets later this morning.

The low turnout on polling day last Saturday, as well as the strength of the No vote, are set to be discussed.

Last week, the Taoiseach said the Government will also review the successful Supreme Court challenge to the Government's information campaign in the run-up to the vote.

The Attorney General Maire Whelan will be in the spotlight after Ministers said she advised the Government on its legal position prior to the publication of the information.
