Cabinet to begin planning mid-term economic strategy tomorrow

The cabinet will tomorrow map out the country's economic plan for the next three years.

Ministers will meet in the morning to sign off on a Medium-Term Economic Strategy.

The strategy will outline the basic shape of the country's first budgets after the Troika bailout.

Although the bailout ends on Sunday, Ireland still has to meet tough fiscal targets set by authorities in Brussels.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny will deliver a State of the Nation address on Sunday evening, once Ireland officially exits the bailout.
