Minister for Social ProtectionJoan Burton has said that she is content that the Taoiseach has set out clearly what contact he had with executives from Anglo Irish Bank.
It follows an article yesterday in the detailng emails in which a former Anglo executive claimed to have been in contact with Enda Kenny in November 2008, when he was in opposition.
Fianna Fáil and Sinn Féin have both called for the Taoiseach to give a full explanation about what happened.
But Minister Burton, who is also Labour deputy leader, told Clare FM she doesn't see the need for clarification.
"The Taoiseach has set out very clearly what his contacts were and as I understand it, he's referenced by people in the banks in relation to conversations that they appear to have been having with various politicians," she said.
"It would seem to me that those kind of contacts are the kind of contacts that may have happened with people both in Government and in opposition," she added.
