Labour's second-in-command says she has full confidence in Eamon Gilmore as party leader.
Joan Burton says she supports Eamon Gilmore's party leadership, and suggests she has no wish to oust him.
There has been longstanding speculation that Minister Burton could be encouraged to launch a leadership challenge.
But after Labour's conference at the weekend, she said Eamon Gilmore has everyone's full support.
"The situation is that the Labour Party has a leader in Eamon Gilmore who has the support of the party, and has my support - and that's where the situation rests," he said.
"I'm certainly happy to do the job that I'm doing in the Labour Party."
