Burglars steal €100k from Co Cork pensioner
Gardaí have appealed to the public not to keep large sums of cash in their homes following the theft of more than €100,000 from a house in Co Cork at the weekend.
Thieves made off with the cash when they broke into a house in the Kanturk area sometime between 2pm on Sunday and 10am on Monday.
The owner of the house, a man in his late 70s, was out at the time when the gang struck and made off with the huge sum of cash.
