Bord Gáis does not formally apply for price hike
Bord Gáis has said it has not formally applied for permission to hike up gas prices at this stage.
The Irish Independent reported that families will face an average increase of more than €150 in their gas and electricity bills this year.
The company said it is engaging with the Commission for Energy Regulation.
Earlier this month, the commission warned that an increase in gas prices could be on the cards later this year.
