An Army Bomb Disposal Team has made safe a viable improvised explosive device in Coolock, Dublin last night.

An Army Bomb Disposal Team has made safe a viable improvised explosive device in Coolock, Dublin last night.

Local residents were evacuated after the device was discovered in a house at Belcamp Crescent.

The team was on site at 3.10am and the device was make safe, without the need for a controlled explosion.

It has now been removed to a secure military location for further testing.

The scene was declared safe at 3.45am.
