Body recovered from Galway river

The body of a man aged in his 30s has been recovered from the River Corrib in Galway.

The body of a man aged in his 30s has been recovered from the River Corrib in Galway.

The RNLI found the man close to Hare Island at around 9.30am this morning.

The body has been taken to University Hospital Galway.

It is expected a post-mortem examination will be carried out later.

Gardaí say they are not treating the man's death as suspicious.
